In a complicated situation within Ultimate, Thomas almeida will have the 'fight of his life' in Ultimate. Brazilian promise in the bantamweight category (up to 61,2kg.), the Brazilian has a confirmed confrontation against Sean O'Malley No. UFC 260, which takes place on March 27, in a location that has not yet been officially announced. The information was released by the North American, on his channel on YouTube, and by São Paulo, on their social networks.

When he arrived at Ultimate in 2014, Thominhas was seen as a reference for the future of the organization. Explosive, fast and with a great knockout capacity, in a short time the Brazilian caught the attention of the board and fans and put himself in the spotlight of the board.

The last few years, however, have not been easy for the 29-year-old Brazilian. An eye injury kept the athlete out of competition for more than a year. Before that, however, Almeida suffered defeats against Jimmie rivera (2017) and Rob font (2018). On his long-awaited return, which took place in October 2020, Thomas accepted the challenge Jonathan martinez last minute, in a fight valid for featherweight (up to 65,7kg.). In the confrontation, the São Paulo native was defeated again (by points) and suffered his fourth defeat in the last five appearances.

Like the Brazilian, O'Malley (26) arrived in the UFC with the status of the future of the division. Tall, provocative and with great technical ability, the athlete surprised with confident performances and undeniable victories.

In his last fight, however, the American ended up suffering his first defeat in a harsh manner. Against Marlon Vera, Sean, who was a big favorite in the confrontation (in the bookmakers), ended up succumbing and being knocked out in the first round. The fighter will now try to recover against Thominhas.

UFC 260

In addition to the confrontation between Thominhas and O'Malley, the UFC 260 will feature two title fights. In the co-main fight, Alexander Volkanovsky will make his second featherweight title defense and will exchange forces with Brian ortega. The highlight of the night will be the long-awaited meeting between Stipe Miocic e Francis Ngannou, who face each other for the heavyweight throne (up to 120,2kg.).

Tupiniquin fans will have even more reasons to follow the show on March 27th. Johnny Walker will make his return to the octagon and face Jimmy crute, in the light heavyweight division (up to 93kg.). Standing out in the welterweight division (up to 77kg.), Vincent Luque will have the most important fight of his career to date. The fighter will face the former division champion, Tyron woodley, which is going through a bad phase in the organization.
