Georges St-Pierre's coach, Firas Zahabi, analyzed the defeat of Conor McGregor before Dustin poirier, which took place last Saturday (23), at UFC 257. According to him, the Irishman felt the blows, gave up the fight as soon as he encountered his first difficulty and that, as time passes, he seems to wear out even more.

“I think in the second round, when McGregor was hit on the fence, I thought it was strange that he didn't react. It looked like he had already given up fighting before hitting the fence because things were getting difficult. The fight was getting tough, his left hand didn't work and he's not used to it. He's not used to beating guys on the left and then continuing to fight. He's used to hitting guys with his left and then they fall to the ground,'' said Firas Zahabi, on his channel on 'YouTube'.

Still on the analysis of the fight, the coach disagreed with St-Pierre, who stated that Conor can bounce back from the loss. For him, the first step for a fighter to experience a drop in performance is the determination to know how to overcome the limits within the cage to turn around.

“It has a lot to do with the way he fell and, in my opinion, he is not used to facing storms (…), at this point in your career, you want a good victory and to retire, because you probably are, so general, fighting on automatic. fighters are tired of putting family on hold. He's tired of putting everything on hold. You want to see your children grow up, go through different stages of their life, go to family dinners, have that family time, that leisure time. But fighters who are competing at the highest level have to take a break from that all the time. It's very tiring, very psychologically tiring. But it all depends on the individual. Are you ready to give up on all this? Are you ready to do all this?”, he concluded.
