North American Gilbert Melendez challenges his compatriot Ben henderson for the UFC lightweight belt. The clash marks the first duel between champions after the end of Strikeforce. Already Daniel Cormier, winner of the extinct organization's heavyweight GP, debuts in Ultimate against the former champion Frank mir.
