Dana White will undergo surgery and could miss UFC São Paulo

UFC President will undergo surgery in Los Angeles to treat Ménière's syndrome

Something rare in the events of Ultimate Fighting Championship can happen in UFC Sao Paulo. The president of the organization, Dana White, may not be present at the Ibirapuera Gymnasium during the show. This is because, this Tuesday (15), he will undergo surgery to treat Ménière's syndrome, diagnosed last year. White himself confirmed the procedure, on his personal account on Twitter.

However, despite the difficulties and the post-surgical recovery process, Dana said, in an interview with the North American newspaper USA Today, which does not completely rule out coming to Brazil over the weekend. “I'll see how I recover from this surgery. I imagine my ear will be very sore. I don't know, let's see how I feel. I hate losing fights. The event is the part I love about this job,” she said.

PUBLICITY:

Ménière's syndrome is a rare disease with unknown causes, which generally affects middle-aged men. After surgery, the patient loses hearing in the affected ear, since during the surgical process a part of the inner ear is removed, as Dana White himself commented, in an interview with USA Today. “They’re going to cut my left ear off to insert a tube, it’s a new surgery”, he concluded.
