Ronaldo Jacare he showed at Strikeforce's farewell event, held last Saturday night (12), in Oklahoma, because he is considered one of the best middleweights (up to 84 kg) today. After submitting Ed Herman, a UFC fighter who moved to the event to face him, the jiu-jitsu black belt is now aiming for his Ultimate debut.
In an interview with the North American website MMA Fighting, the Brazilian athlete sent a message to fighters in his UFC category: “Jacaré is coming and I'm going to do my best”, he said.
The former Strikeforce champion also analyzed his calm victory against Herman. For Jacaré, the duel would be more balanced, but he doesn't hide his happiness with his performance.
“I expected a tougher fight because I saw the battles he had fought before. He knew he could dominate, but he didn’t imagine it would be like this,” she confesses. “I always want to prove to myself that I have what it takes. I'm happy they chose Ed Herman, who is a very tough opponent. I wanted to prove to myself that I could have good fights with any opponent”, he concluded.
