Ultimate confirmed the long-awaited fight between Kamaru Usman e Gilbert Durinho, for the welterweight belt (up to 77kg.). The fight will be the main attraction of the UFC 258, which takes place on February 13th in Las Vegas. The organization published a poster on its social networks announcing the confrontation.

This will be the third time that the UFC has attempted to stage a fight between the current welterweight champion and the Brazilian. Firstly, Gilbert Durinho would try to win Usman's belt in the UFC 251, in July 2020. However, at the time, the Niteroi native tested positive for COVID-19, giving way to the North American Jorge masvidal.
The two would face each other again in UFC 256, in December. But the fight would be canceled again, following Usman's request.
