Ultimate confirmed the 14 fights of the UFC Fight Island 8, which takes place this Wednesday (20), in Abu Dhabi. All fighters went through the official weigh-in without any major surprises, including the protagonists of the day, Michael chiesa e Neil Magny.

Upon his return to the octagon after a year, the American Michael chiesa weighed 77,3kg, using the pound – around 450 grams – of tolerance for fights that are not valid for a belt, guaranteeing the welterweight limit (up to 77,1kg.). Neil Magny also used the tolerance, hit 77.6 kg. and confirmed his participation in the card. During the confrontation, there was also a moment of relaxation and smiles between the combatants.
And the Brazilians?
Responsible for representing Brazil in ‘Ilha da Luta 8’, six Brazilian athletes also remained within the limits of their divisions.
Warlley alves, who is in the co-main fight with Mounir Lazzez, just greeted his rival and, in a friendly atmosphere, weighed in at 77,6kg. Douglas D'Silva also confirmed his fight against Lerone murphy, when reaching 65,8kg. On the other hand, his opponent was within the featherweight limit (66,2kg.).
The only Brazilian female fighter on the card, Viviane Araujo faced her rival, Roxanne Morafferi, in a relaxed moment. The North American arrived with a wig from the cartoon ‘Dragon Ball Z’. Both weighed 57,2kg. Markus Maluko stopped dressing up as the character ‘Joker’ and scored 84,4kg, the same weight as his opponent, Dalcha Lungiambula.
Moreover, Francisco Figueredo – brother of the flyweight champion (up to 56,7 kg.), Deiverson – had a tense face with Jerome Rivera. The Brazilian even provoked him at the time. Both confirmed 57,2kg.
The only 'suspense' of the day was the Brazilian Vinícius Mamute, who was the last to weigh in and needed a towel to weigh 93,4kg. His opponent, Ike Villanueva, was also at the same weight.
