Moments before publication, Jon had released a sequence of images that prove the great physical development of the former light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg.). Visibly bigger, the fighter once again shocked his followers by proving the determination with which he has faced his commitment.

There is still no scheduled date for the fighter's debut in the new group. The expectation, however, is that the North American will face the winner between the champion Stipe Miocic e Francis Ngannou, who could face each other in the first semester.

Jon officially moved to heavyweight in August 2020. At the time, the athlete made his decision public and gave up the belt in the old category, which he dominated for around 10 years.

The fighter, today, is considered one of the best representatives of MMA in history. At 33 years old, the fighter has 26 victories in 28 challenges. His only defeat came in 2009, when he was disqualified after delivering an – at the time – illegal elbow to Matt Hamill.
