“I just signed an eight-fight contract with the UFC. My plan is to fight eight more times. You know I want to finish this contract I'm doing, fight eight more times. Then we'll see where we are. But I'm not looking beyond that or before that. I'm going to fight eight more times”, revealed Poirier, in an interview with the podcast 'This Past Weekend'.

Poirier has been in the UFC since 2011 and has been one of the top names in the lightweight division for years. Currently, the fighter has a record of 26 wins, six draws and one fight without result.
