Brazilian Rani Yaya was confirmed at UFC on Fuel TV: Silva vs Stann
The UFC organization announced, this Saturday, three fights, which will make up the cards for the events that will be held in March. Two fights will take place at UFC on Fuel TV: Silva vs Stann (Ultimate's return to Japan) and another will make up the UFC 158 card: St. Pierre vs Diaz. For the event, which will have as its main fight the duel between the Brazilian Wanderley Silva and the American Brian Stann, the following fights were scheduled: Mizuto Hirota vs. Rani Yaya and Marcelo Guimarães vs. Hyun Gyu Lim. Tonight, in Montreal, which will feature a welterweight belt fight, the scheduled fight was between Chris Camozzi and Nick Ring.
Japanese Hirota will have his first UFC fight at home, after his arrival from Strikeforce, against Brazilian Rani Yahia, who has already had three other fights for the organization (with two wins and one loss). The duel will be valid in the featherweight division. Another Brazilian to enter the Octagon on the day, Marcelo Guimarães from Espírito Santo will try to beat South Korean Hyun Gyu Lim in a welterweight fight. This will be Marcelo's second fight for Ultimate. Upon his arrival at the Zuffa event, Marcelo beat Dan Stittgen in a split decision from the judges. The middleweight clash announced for UFC 158 will pit Brazilian Luiz “Banha” Cané’s tormentor at UFC Rio 3, Chris Camozzi, against Nick Ring, who has only one loss in professional MMA – to Tim Boetsch.
UFC on Fuel TV: Silva vs Stann and UFC 158 are the only UFC events scheduled to take place in March. The first will be held on March 3rd at Saitama Super Arena, in Saitama, Japan. The second is scheduled for March 16th at Bell center, in Montreal, Canada.
