Stipe Miocic warns YouTubers about boxing fights: 'Don't bite off more than you can chew'

Ultimate heavyweight champion praised Logan and Jake Paul's initiative, but warned about the dangers of challenging professional fighters

Influencer brothers Logan and Jake Paul created a lot of noise in the world of fights by challenging great sports stars. The movement even caught the attention of Stipe Miocic. The UFC heavyweight champion (up to 120.3 kg.) recognized the importance of y to attract a new audience to boxing, but warned them of the risk of suffering a serious injury.

“They are doing it right and helping not only boxing, but fights in general, because they are calling up UFC and Bellator fighters as well…. But don't bite off more than you can chew. I mean, yeah, you might be a tough guy, but (Ben) Askren has experience. He's been out there fighting for a long time,” said Miocic, in an interview with 'The Pat McAfee Show'.

Miocic also spoke about the difference between fighting as an amateur and facing fighters with professional experience. The champion also gave 'advice' to the y.

“If you get into a street fight, look at your ears first. If they're shaped like cauliflower, you're gone. I wish them (Logan and Jake Paul) all the best. I understand why they are doing this, it's all about the money. But at the same time, don’t bite off more than you can chew,” advises Stipe.

The fever of y in the rings started after Jake Paul knocking out former NBA player Nate Robinson. At the time, the fight was the second most anticipated attraction in the event that marked the return of Mike Tyson in boxing. Now, he has challenged the likes of Conor McGregor e Michael Bisping for an exhibition fight. His brother, Logan Paul, is scheduled to face legend Floyd Mayweather on February 20th.
