As provocations from Ultimate's new darling, Deiveson Figueiredo, seem to have had an effect on the company's former double champion. Retired since May last year, when he crashed Dominick Cruz and defended the bantamweight title (up to 61,2kg.), Henry Cejudo broke the silence and responded to the 'God of War', who recently proposed a superfight for a symbolic belt (BMF) of the organization.

“Dana White, I'm trying to enjoy my retirement, but a so-called 'Fighter of the Year' can't get my name out of his mouth. Even though he has that 'fake belt', he knows who is the best in the world. I would like to know where he got this herb from”, joked Cejudo, on his Twitter account.

Known for his sharp tongue and for making history by winning two belts simultaneously in the company, Henry, since hanging up his gloves, has stated that he would only return for the 'right fight'. In recent months, 'Triplo-C' has insisted on a confrontation against Alexander Volkanovsky, for the featherweight belt (up to 65,7kg.). The challenge, if accepted by the UFC, would open up the possibility for Cejudo to make even more history, becoming the first in the company to win three titles, if he wins.

Deiveson, however, has gained more space in the UFC spotlight. Flyweight champion (up to 56,7kg) – Henry's former division – since July, when he ran over Joseph Benavidez, the man from Pará made two title defenses in a span of 21 days. The feat of the Brazilian, who ended up saving the UFC 256, filled the eyes of Dana and his team, who have made clear their expectations about the future of the 'God of War' in the company.

Although he is looking for a super fight against Cejudo, White has already confirmed that Deiveson should face Brandon Moreno in a long-awaited rematch. The Brazilian and the Mexican fought one of the best fights of last season, in UFC 256 and the new confrontation could be the priority, as the fight ended in a draw.
