Light heavyweight (up to 93.1 kg.), Aleksandar rakic, is confident that he will be able to guarantee a fight for the belt, if the Brazilian beats Thiago Marreta No. UFC 259, which takes place in Las Vegas, on March 6th. The Croatian, who occupies fourth place in the division, says he is prepared for 'a war' and has transformed a personal drama into motivation to win the fight.

“I will be prepared for war and I know that Thiago (Marreta) will be too. I want this chance at the title and to win the belt. I lost a friend a few days ago and I promised him that I will win and have a chance at the title. That motivates me”, highlights Rakic in an interview with the North American website MMA Junkie.
Aleksandar rakic also revealed that he has already done a training session with Thiago Marreta at the 'American Top Team' academy and does not underestimate the Brazilian's power.
“Marreta will come even more motivated, as they are coming off two defeats and are hungry (for victory). I'm sure he's training hard, because I know him, as we trained together at American Top Team in 2018. He's a dangerous guy, but I'm at my peak and no one is going to stop me. (…) After this fight, I want the title shot,” he concluded.
O UFC 259 should count on the super fight between Jan Blachowicz x Israel adesanya, valid for the light heavyweight belt (up to 93.1 kg.), as the main attraction of the night. Furthermore, the Brazilian Amanda nunes defends the featherweight belt (up to 65,7 kg.), against the North American Megan anderson.
