Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Ultimate showed that it can still be capable of promoting good fights and revealing promising athletes. Despite the troubled year of 2020, UFC president Dana White highlighted three athletes who emerged during the season and fans should keep an eye on in 2021. Without Brazilians on the list, he listed: Khamzat Shimaev, Kevin holland e Joaquin buckley.

“What I love about Chimaev is that he wants to fight all the time and not everyone wants to fight him, so it's difficult to fight. (…) Another guy like Chimaev is Kevin holland. The kid had five wins in 2020. He's fun. He's exciting. (…) And then another would be Joaquin buckley, who had the most viral victory in UFC history in 2020 with that knockout”, revealed Dana White, in an interview with “Shout Podcast”.

Regarding the number of good fighters, White also said that the organization has the potential to further expand the market for good fighters and is betting on the 'Contender Series' to do so.

“We are putting together another episode of 'Contender Series' and the amount of talent that is coming out of this show is phenomenal. They (Chimaev, Holland and Buckley) are just three guys among many to come,” he concluded.
