Since gaining notoriety on the fight scene by knocking out the former NBA star Nate Robinson: youtuber Jake Paul has challenged countless MMA fighters, including former champions Conor McGregor e Michael Bisping. However, the Brazilian Vitor belfort applied to face the influencer and stated that he will 'put him to sleep' (see the video below).

In a video posted on his Instagram account, Belfort used the hashtag 'jokepaul' ('joke Paul', in free translation) to send the message to the YouTuber.
“You need to be respectful when coming to my world. This is my kingdom. Yours is to make YouTuber videos for the younger generation. When I was champion, you were being born. I'll put you to sleep and on your knees. Listen, with all due respect to your fans – and not for you – I'm going to show you that you are 'Joke' Paul (the word means 'joke' in English). I'll put it on my lap. Let’s go to sleep, baby”, said Belfort on his Instagram account.

Belfort has not seen action since May 2018, when he was defeated by Lyoto Machida at UFC 224, in a fight valid for light heavyweight (up to 93kg). The 'Phenomenon' signed with ONE Championship in 2019, but has yet to make his debut at the Asian event. Already Jake Paul has a 2-0 boxing record and fought in the event between Mike Tyson x Roy Jones Jr, which took place on November 28th.
