Close to facing Ferguson, Do Bronx exudes confidence for duel at UFC 256: 'I have more weapons'

A few days away from the 'fight of his life', Brazilian wants to open his toolbox and shock the world against the former interim lightweight champion

With every second that passes, Charles of the Bronx gets closer to the most important fight of his career to date. This Saturday (12), at UFC 256, in Las Vegas (USA), the Brazilian will exchange forces against the dangerous Tony Ferguson in a duel that could bring the winner closer to a lightweight title fight (up to 70,2kg). In an exclusive interview with SUPER LUTAS YouTube channel, the São Paulo native analyzed the confrontation and showed confidence in a good performance at the weekend.

“It's a fight that I've been asking for since the beginning of the year and this opportunity has arrived. (…) He's a guy who I know is tough, but I'm also very good. I'm definitely going to get there and put on a great show. I am very sure of my victory. I have a lot more weapons than him”, said the Brazilian.

Even accepting to face the 'Bicho Papão' with less than two months of preparation, Charles is nothing but joy when it comes to exchanging forces against one of the best representatives of the category in recent years. The athlete then assured spectators that he will be in top shape on the day of the clash.

“He (Ferguson) cannot waver. If he falters, he knows what will happen. It's a very good fight. I'm happy with the opportunity the UFC gave me. I will be 100% until the day of the fight”, he concluded.

Do Bronx, who is undefeated in seven fights in the UFC, is going for his second appearance of the year. Today, the fighter occupies sixth place in the rankings, while Tony is third.
