One of the most feared names in the UFC middleweight (up to 83,9kg) in recent years, Romero stood out for his physical vigor and ability to intimidate his opponents. The 43-year-old fighter's negative record, however, weighed on Dana White and his team's decision to release the fighter.

Recently, Bellator and PFL stated that they do not intend to try to sign the fighter. Romero, then, remains free on the market to sign with another MMA company or even with Bare Knuckle.

A professional in mixed martial arts since 2009, Romero has 18 fights on his record. The fighter has 13 victories and five defeats. His last performance took place in March, when he faced and was beaten by Israel adesanya in a fight for the Ultimate middleweight belt.
