After beating Borrachinha, in September, in one of the most anticipated fights of the year, Adesanya ended up overcoming what, on paper, would be his biggest challenge in the category. The fighter then started to take his plan to test himself among the light heavyweights (up to 93kg) more seriously.
UFC President, Dana White admits negotiating the clash between the Nigerian and the current champion of the under-93kg group. The superfight is expected to take place in 2021 and the confrontation puts Adesanya with a chance of joining the group of athletes who have won two belts in different divisions in the company.
