At the press conference after the show, upon learning of Marvin's statement, White surrendered once and for all to the Italian. Excited about the possibility of promoting a confrontation between Vettori and the last challenger for the belt in the category, Dana did not hide his excitement.

“I love this fight. I don't know (if we'll do it), I'll see, but I love it. (…) I think he (Vettori) enters the top 5 with this (victory). He is the first Italian to achieve this. It was a great fight in our division, I think this kid is ready for anything”, said the agent.

Although he was clear in his challenge to Borrachinha, Vettori didn't take long to change his mind. The Italian, who had his last career defeat handed down by the current champion, Israel adesanya, realized that a rematch against the leader of the group could be more interesting and challenged the Nigerian.

“Before I challenged Borrachinha, but to be honest with you, f*** Borrachinha. He just came off a bad loss. Why would I face him? I want to go straight to the title. Honestly, I like the fight (with Borrachinha), but I feel that in the top 5 there is no real obstacle. (Jared) Cannonier just lost, Darren till, which I don't even consider a top 5. Borrachinha just lost brutally and Jack was fourth (placed). (Robert) Whittaker just wants to spend Christmas with his kids. I don’t blame him, but it doesn’t seem like he wants to fight for the title”, concluded Marvin.
