Affliction's medical suspensions announced

The California Athletic Commission issued medical suspensions to fighters who participated in Affliction Banned's debut event, held on July 19th. The surprises were for the hooks imposed on Vitor belfort and Fedor Emilianenko who, despite their victories, must remain out of the ring for 180 days, therefore, the fighters who already had fights planned in the second edition of Affliction, Vitor against Matt Lindland and Fedor against Andrei Arlovski, should not participate in the show. Check all suspensions.

Fedor Emelianenko (defeated Tim Sylvia): Suspended for 180 days with no contact for 180 days, due to a right hand injury (release of the suspension can be anticipated with approval from an orthopedic doctor)

* Tim Sylvia (defeated by Fedor Emelianenko): Suspended 180 days, without any contact for 180 days, due to an injury to the left elbow (release of the suspension can be anticipated with approval from an orthopedic doctor)

* Ben Rothwell (defeated by Andrei Arlovski): Suspended 60 days with no contact for 60 days due to a deep cut in the ear (can be determined in advance by a doctor);

* Edwin Dewees (defeated by Antonio Rogério Nogueira): Suspended 180 days, without any contact for 180 days due to preventive reasons (the release of the suspension can be anticipated with approval from an orthopedic doctor); minimum suspension of 45 days with no contact for 30 days for precautionary reasons

* Pedro Rizzo (defeated by Josh Barnett): Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days for precautionary reasons

* Mike Whitehead (defeated by Renato Sobral): Suspended 180 days, without any contact for 180 days due to a left hand injury (release of suspension can be brought forward with approval from an orthopedic doctor)

* Vitor belfort (defeated Terry Martin): Suspended 180 days, without any contact for 180 days due to broken hand (release of suspension can be brought forward with approval from an orthopedic doctor)

* Terry Martin (lost to Vitor belfort): Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days for precautionary reasons

* Fabio Nascimento (lost to Matt Lindland): Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days for precautionary reasons
