Anthony Smith leads UFC Vegas 15 bonus list on card without 'fight of the night'

UFC Fight Night Las Vegas 15, held this Saturday night (28) at UFC Apex, was an atypical event over the last few days. With direct competition from an exhibition boxing duel between the legends Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. until the change of the main fight with just 24 hours to go until the start of the event, practically everything surrounding the event was a little out of the ordinary. And this maxim was also maintained in the delivery of the now traditional bonuses of the night by Ultimate, which, this time, chose not to award any fight as “fight of the night”.

For this reason, four athletes were chosen and awarded for their performances on the card, the main one being the veteran Anthony Smith, which ended Devin Clark in just over two minutes in the main fight of the night. Smith completed 50 professional fights with the triumph and also achieved his first victory in 2020.

In addition to Smith, the following were also awarded by the UFC: the Chinese Su Mudaerji, who achieved an impressive knockout in just 44 seconds over Malcom Gordon; Nate Maness, which ended Luke sanders in the second round with a rear naked choke; and Miguel Baeza, who finished Takashi Sato in the co-main event of the night. Coincidentally, the awarded athletes were the winners of the two fights that opened and also the two fights that closed the night.

As usual, each of the four athletes chosen for UFC Fight Night Las Vegas 15 bonuses takes home a check worth US$50 (around R$267 at the current exchange rate).
