As rules in the confrontation between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr., which takes place this Saturday (28), in Los Angeles (USA), didn't just take fans by surprise. A self-confessed boxing enthusiast and personal friend of Tyson, the president of Ultimate, Dana White, in a press conference after the UFC 255, couldn't help himself and burst into laughter when he learned that the veterans will have to avoid the knockout this weekend.
“There will be no knockouts? Can’t they knock you out?” White argued, before laughing.

According to Andy Foster, president of the California Athletic Commission, the clash between Tyson and Jones will be nothing more than an exhibition fight. The idea of the promotion is to preserve as much as possible the physical integrity of those in their fifties. In addition to the knockout, it was revealed that there will be no winner announced at the end of the fight and both will receive symbolic belts.
To close the matter, White was once again surprised to learn that both fighters will have their arms raised at the end of the fight, which is expected to last eight rounds.
“How do they do it? Wow, you can't even bet on this fight? I did not know. I don’t even know what to say,” she finished smiling.
This weekend's spectacle will mark Tyson's return to the ring after more than 15 years of inactivity. Considered one of the best boxers of all time, the legend is now 54 years old, while Roy is 51.
