With electrifying duels, Elias Silvério shines and wins the main fight of Jungle Fight 46

Speed ​​was the keyword of the 46th edition of the Jungle Fight, an event that took place this Thursday (13), in São Paulo. Of the seven total clashes, four did not go beyond the first round and the other three ended in the next round. Also wasting no time was athlete Elias Silvério, who needed less than 30 seconds to defeat Julio Rafael Rodrigues in the main fight of the night. It was Elias' third consecutive victory at Jungle, which possibly qualifies the São Paulo native for a title shot in the welterweight category (up to 77 kg).

Opening the fight program, Reginaldo Vieira He did his homework very well against Luciano ''Boinha''. Early on, Reginaldo managed a nice takedown and after a failed inverted triangle attempt, he landed a guillotine choke, which forced his opponent to tap out. In the second confrontation, Adson ''Preguiça'' started with a lot of intensity in his striking and landed a very hard blow on his opponent, Thiago Passos, who felt it and fell, having to stay on the bottom in the ground fight. Thiago still managed to reverse the position, staying on top for a while, but ended up being pinned by Preguiça. Then, Lucas Melo Martins managed to bring the gym down in the duel against Oberdan ''Pezão''. After being disadvantaged in the first round, having his guard breached numerous times by blows from Pezão, in the second round, he achieved one of those knockouts that will remain in the memory of all spectators. He pretended he was going to kick with his right leg, doing a half-pedal, and fired his left leg with great speed straight at Pezão's face, who collapsed, ending the fight right there.

Next, it was Jorge''Michelan''s turn to give a ground lesson against fighter Erick Becker. He started the fight trying to take him down, but was stopped by Erick's good takedown defense, who fell on top. Even from below, Michelan began to put into practice his entire repertoire of strikes and jiu-jitsu skills. After almost submitting countless times and in different ways, he finally managed to catch his opponent's leg, who this time didn't resist and hit him. In the fifth fight, Warley Alves represented Brazil in the only international duel of the competition against Bolivian Bazan Rojas. The first round was well balanced. Bazan started trying to take him down and Warley took the opportunity to land a guillotine choke, but to no avail. Afterwards, the two alternated positions and moments of advantage until the end of the first round. In the next round, Warley quickly applied a takedown to his opponent and finished with a katagatame.

In the penultimate clash, Alexandre Capitão and Sérgio Soares fought practically the entire fight on the ground. Captain soon put Sérgio down and little by little he tried to impose his ground game, which was very well defended by Sérgio in the first round. In the second round, again, Capitão applied a takedown, but this time he managed to find an opening to lock in a rear naked choke on Sérgio, who had no other option but to tap. In the main fight of the night, Elias Silvério didn't give Julio Rafael Rodrigues the slightest chance and ended the fight in just 27 seconds. He started going full steam ahead, combining knees and punches, which landed squarely on his opponent, forcing the main referee to interrupt.
