Cormier then analyzed the recent record of the Pará native, who brutalized one of the best names in the category, Benavidez, on two occasions. Daniel then compared the Brazilian's performance with that of the greatest champion in the history of the category, Demetrious Johnson, who also faced Joseph.

“From the first knockout of Benavidez to the second, he dominated 'Joe B' from start to finish. We haven't seen him get dominated like this since DJ (Demetrious Johnson). Did Demetrious dominate him the way Deiveson did?” asked DC, who was corrected by the 'ESPN', Ariel Helwani, stating that Johnson knocked out Joe in 2013.

The former light heavyweight and heavyweight champion then corrected his speech, but did not fail to praise the achievement of the 'God of War'.

“In the first fight (between Benavidez and Demetrious), it was better, more competitive. He (Joseph) was dominated by Deiveson Figueiredo. He strangled him until he was unconscious. He hit him standing up and dominated him on the ground”, he concluded.
