“When I say I learned from this man, I learned from this man,” Hall wrote on his Instagram account.

There was a lot of expectation for the confrontation between Anderson and Hall, who headlined the UFC Las Vegas 12. During the promotion, the company's president, Dana White, made public that the clash would mark the Brazilian's farewell to the company, ending one of the most successful trajectories in the company's history.
