With the status of former UFC champion, Robert whittaker used his morals to comment on a super fight that is the dream of many MMA fans: Khabib Nurmagomedov x Georges St-Pierre. To the surprise of many, the Australian does not share the same enthusiasm when it comes to the clash between the Russian and the Canadian, considered two of the best athletes in the history of the sport. In an interview with 'Submission Radio', Whittaker explained his position.

“The problem with the fight is that they are two of the best. I think one of the two great models for the sport will have his legacy a little tarnished. I don't think this is necessary. Neither of them need money. Maybe they can fight in secret, behind closed doors,” said Robert.
Both St-Pierre and Khabib have had successful trajectories inside and outside of Ultimate. Older, the Canadian is among the ranks of fighters who won two titles in different divisions in the company. The fighter, for years, dominated the welterweight group (up to 77 kg.) and, later, the middleweight group (up to 83,9 kg.).
Recently retired, Khabib, despite not having tested himself in another category, managed to establish his name as one of the best lightweights (up to 70,3kg) of all time. The Russian left the sport in October after unifying the division title against Justin gaethje, UFC 254. Nurmagomedov, today, has an impressive record of 29 wins and no defeats.
