Former UFC, Corey anderson debuted with the right foot in the competitor. In the main fight of Bellator 251, held on Thursday night (5), in Uncasville (USA), the American overcame veteran Melvin Manhoef and left the cage circulating with a knockout in the second round (see below). After the triumph, Anderson asked for a title fight against the winner of the clash between the current champion Vadim nemkov e Phil Davis, who must not yet have a date for the commitment.

“We already saw Nemkov beat Davis (in 2018). I think he (Vadim) just got better. He will do the same thing, very technical. I want Nemkov, but if Phil wins, I want Phil. I want the belt on my wall. I've been dreaming about this. I want the title on my TV when I wake up every morning,” said Corey, in an interview after the show.
A representative of the light heavyweight division (up to 93kg), Anderson wore UFC gloves until February of this year. The athlete, who was among the elite of the company's group chaired by Dana White, ended up losing his last commitment in the organization when he was surpassed by the current Ultimate champion, Jan Blachowicz.
In August, Corey surprised by announcing his departure from the UFC and subsequent agreement with Bellator. From his 'new home', the North American doesn't want to waste any time, and will continue in search of his first title with the company.
Current leader of the category up to 93kg., Nemkov, who is a pupil of the legendary Fedor Emelianenko, won the belt in August. In the fight, valid for Bellator 244, the Russian ran over Ryan bader and began to command the group.
