Uriah Hall ruins Brazilian party and beats Anderson Silva by knockout at UFC Las Vegas 12

As 'Spider' farewells to Ultimate, the Brazilian and Jamaican fight tensely, but the former champion cannot resist his opponent's physical strength and falls in the fourth round; Former champion confirms goodbye to the organization, but not permanent retirement

What no one wanted, happened. The legendary Anderson Silva fell before Uriah Hall in the main fight of UFC Las Vegas 12, held this Saturday (31). After a good start, the former middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg) ended up succumbing to the strength of his rival and was defeated by knockout in the fourth round.

Even at 45 years old, Anderson showed good movement and managed to surprise the athlete in some situations. The Brazilian, however, ended up surprised in a counterattack promoted by Hall and, after a sequence of punches, had the confrontation interrupted by the referee, Herb Dean.

After the victory, Uriah Hall, who is a self-confessed fan of 'Spider', got very emotional in the octagon, bringing himself to tears. Showing the utmost respect to the former champion, Uriah made all the bows worthy of one of the best fighters of all time.

Defeated this weekend, Silva remained in the octagon meditating, as if he was grateful for a successful career that goes down in history. Upon leaving the fight stage, Anderson, visibly emotional, made his first statement, confirming his departure from the UFC.

The fight

The confrontation began with the athletes studying each other in the center of the Octagon. The Brazilian circulated and tried to find the best moment to attack. The first minute passed and no attacks had been launched. Uriah took the initiative with two jabs and Silva responded with a low kick. The Jamaican risked a high kick and ended up losing his balance. 'Spider' began to loosen up in the duel and attacked his opponent with a sequence of punches and kicks. Uriah, however, showed danger in counterattacks. The Jamaican continued to respect the Brazilian a lot, but started attacking the São Paulo native in the final seconds. Silva was surprised with a direct shot, but the timer ran to zero.

In the second stage, the Jamaican attacked again first, with a sequence of jabs. The Brazilian responded with a kick to his opponent's waistline. Anderson threw his famous front kick, but the blow grazed Hall's face. The confrontation remained tense and the athletes tried not to make mistakes. Silva continued betting on kicks to his opponent's body and began trying to induce his opponent to make mistakes. The fight continued and the former champion continued to move around the octagon a lot. Uriah tried to score with jabs and kicks, but Anderson remained sharp on the counterattack. Uriah managed to free himself and returned the attack with a powerful right cross, which took the Brazilian to the ground. Hall continued attacking the former champion, but Anderson ended up saved by the bell.

Anderson took the initiative in the fourth round with a low kick. The Jamaican continued to defend himself well and was in danger with his jabs and straight shots. Hall once again surprised the Brazilian with a straight shot, which took the former champion to the ground. This time, Silva was unable to defend himself from his opponent's attacks, forcing the referee to interrupt the duel.
