if the name of Anderson Silva is mentioned, automatically, other fighters are remembered and Chris Weidman is one of them. The North American was responsible for ending the Brazilian's long reign at middleweight (83,9kg) in the UFC, by knocking out the MMA legend in 2013, when he was still a promise and, despite having shocked the world, revealed that he suffered behind the scenes.

To the North American website Submission Radio, Weidman said that Anderson and his team ridiculed him on the way to the weigh-in and that the provocations irritated his coaches and motivated him for the duel.

“I remember something bad that happened behind the scenes, which Longo and Serra witnessed and couldn’t stand. When we were going to weigh in for the first fight, Anderson stood behind me, started making fun of me and was dancing with his own team. He had around 15 Brazilians! Longo was supposed to be with me, but I was alone and didn't notice. Longo and Serra noticed and asked me to finish off Anderson, to put him in his place. It was an annoying thing, an attempt at bullying, but whatever. I fought him twice and won,” Weidman said.

The Brazilian is about to have his last fight in MMA, in UFC Las Vegas 12, this Saturday (31), and, despite the bad phase, Weidman does not see his rival as being in such a low place. However, he bets on Uriah Hall because he has the desire to grow in the sport.

“Anderson has had an incredible career and hasn’t been bad in his last few fights. He had a close fight with Adesanya. If I had to bet all my money, I would go with Hall, because he is more interested in winning than Anderson. I think Anderson wants to put on a show and do something incredible. Hall is also interested in this, but I think he would love to have Anderson's name on his record”, he concluded.
