St. Pierre talks about the fight against Anderson, but warns: “I need to rest, I got hit on the head a lot”

Canadian Georges St Pierre stayed away from rumors of a possible fight against Anderson Silva. While Dana White, president of the UFC, and the Brazilian fighter stated their interest in the confrontation, GSP maintained his focus on the fight in front of Carlos Condit. But after unifying the welterweight belt, last Saturday (17), the Canadian athlete spoke for the first time about the super fight.

At the press conference after UFC 154, St. Pierre, who fights in the 77 kg division, analyzed in which weight category the duel could be held.

"I don't know yet. It is a good question. I know that Anderson fought at up to 77 kg. when I was in my early 20s. I don't know how many kilos he currently has. I can't go up or down in weight too much. I always fight at 77 kg. I may appear at 80, but I don't know his normal weight, he may appear at 93 or 100 kg. I don't know, but the UFC can do magic, let's see (laughs), said St-Pierre.

After speaking for the first time about the possible confrontation against Anderson, GSP did not hide his irritation with the questions about the challenge before his fight against Carlos Condit at UFC 154.

“What irritated me was that I hadn't even come back yet and everyone was talking about Anderson Silva, and I find that disrespectful. My opponent is a great fighter. Now I need a break, a rest, I’ve been hit on the head a lot.”
