Veteran Cyrille Diabate was the highlight of the UFC 154 preliminary card, an event that takes place this Saturday (17), in Montreal, Canada. The four-time Muay Thai world champion took no notice of Chad Griggs and right at the beginning of the dispute landed accurate blows and managed a knockdown. On the ground, the Frenchman wasted no time and submitted his opponent with a rear naked choke, still in the first round. The only Brazilian on the preliminary card was Rodrigo Damm, who ended up defeated by Antonio Pato Carvalho, in a split decision by the judges.

The Brazilian Rodrigo Damm He tried, but failed to achieve his second triumph in Ultimate. In a very balanced duel, the Brazilian ended up defeating Antonio Carvalho, who had the full support of the Canadian fans in the preliminary card of the event held in Montreal.

After two bad rounds, the athletes tried to fight in the third round. The Brazilian looked more for the fight, trying to find the distance, while Carvalho had movement as his biggest weapon. In the final half of the session, Damm landed two good left hands, unbalancing the Canadian, but it was too late. In the judges' decision, Antonio Pato Carvalho won in the judges' split decision (29×28, 28×29, 29×28).
