In an official statement, the UFC, without giving many details, stated that Ring felt unwell and will not be able to go to the octagon this Saturday. With the cancellation of the fight, the duel between the Brazilian Rafael dos Anjos and Canadian Mark Bocek was promoted to the main card of the event.
The most anticipated fight at UFC 154 will be for the unification of the welterweight belt. The champion Georges St Pierre returns to the octagon after 19 months, due to a serious injury, and faces the American Carlos Condit, owner of the interim belt.
