Women's MMA has gained an important ally within the UFC. After the organization has Ronda Rousey as the first best under contract, the biggest name in the event gave its support to the initiative. The Brazilian Anderson Silva revealed that, despite not being a female practice, she supports the hiring of women by Ultimate.
“I think it's cool, even though I don't think women's MMA is a very feminine thing. But everything is fine. I think girls also have to have opportunities. I think it's cool that the UFC is opening up this space because women, after all, dominate the world”, said “Spider”, at his sponsor's event in Rio de Janeiro.
