Back at middleweight, Rich Franklin is already aiming for another chance against Anderson Silva

American Rich Franklin lost the UFC middleweight belt in 2006, when he was knocked out by Anderson Silva at UFC 64. A year later, “Ace”, as he is known, had another chance, but was once again surpassed by the Brazilian at UFC 77. Since then, Anderson has remained unbeatable in the division, while Rich chose to move up to the light heavyweights. Now, back in the middleweight category, Franklin does not rule out the possibility of having a new opportunity for the belt.

“I'm sure he's a better fighter than when we fought. I think I'm better too. Defeating a guy like Anderson is going to be a difficult thing, no matter who you are. But when you have a champion mentality, you knock me out, and I'll come back. You'll knock me out twice, and I'll start again. Any moment now, I'll find your number. I believe that with another chance I can win this fight”, analyzed Franklin, who made a point of highlighting Spider's talent.

“Maybe I was lucky to meet him in my career. If you're going to lose, Anderson could very well be that guy. The things he does in the Octagon are incredible. He fought against Stephan bonnar and he threw that kick like he was in the Matrix”, added the former champion.

PUBLICITY:

Before a possible rematch against Anderson, Franklin has another commitment in Ultimate. He stares at the Vietnamese Cung le at UFC on FUEL 6, next Saturday (10), a show that marks the organization's debut in Chinese territory.
