A Cris Cyborg's dominant victory over Arlene Blencowe, last Thursday (15), at Bellator 249, in Uncasville (USA), made it clear that, at the moment, there is only one opponent in the world who can stand up to the Curitiba native. Realizing this, the Brazilian, after the triumph, once again demanded her former boss, Dana White, for a rematch against Amanda nunes in a 'crossover event' between his 'current home' and the UFC.

Considered by many to be the best fighter of all time, Cris left Ultimate last year after failing to agree on terms for a contract renewal. In the former company, however, the Curitiba native left behind the only athlete capable of beating her by knockout: Amanda nunes.
Even though she was hired by Bellator and took on the role of one of the company's biggest stars, Cris did not forget her former rival, who took her featherweight belt (up to 65,7 kg.) in December 2018. At the time, Amanda ended up shocking the world by moving up a category and brutally beating one of the most feared fighters in the sport.
With the Bellator belt, Cris now continues with the dream of convincing her former boss to grant the opportunity to face the Bahian woman once again, in a show that would feature athletes from both competitors.
While Cyborg slowly closes down the range of opponents, Nunes continues to do the same in Ultimate. In December, the Pojucana will defend the title that once belonged to Cris. The 'Lioness' will face Megan anderson, UFC 256.
