Debuting in the third different category this Saturday, Jéssica 'Bate-Estaca' does not rule out testing in the featherweight division

Former UFC strawweight champion (up to 52,1kg), Jessica Andrade, ‘Bate-Estaca’ wants to remain known as an exemplary employee in the organization. This Saturday (17), at UFC Ilha da Luta 6, the Brazilian will make history by trying herself in the third different weight category, something unprecedented among women in the company. At the weekend, the Paraná native will debut among the flies (up to 56,7kg.) and does not rule out a test in the feathers (up to 65,7kg.), today led by Amanda nunes.

“Three different categories. Breaking another record. That's really good, knowing that I've been doing this work in the UFC and, wherever they need me, I'll be there. Who knows, maybe in the future he won't be able to compete at 66kg. (feather weight). I challenge everything, I like challenges”, said the Brazilian, in an interview with ‘MMA fighting'.

Charismatic as always, the former champion, who began her career in Ultimate as a bantamweight (up to 61,2kg), has already received public praise from the company's president, Dana White e. Even without a title under her belt, the athlete enjoys a lot of prestige and receives recognition due to the services she has provided over the years.

“I'm ready to do whatever I need for the company. Another record ahead. This is going to be groundbreaking,” she concluded.
