Confident of victory, Cigano hopes to meet the “best Velasquez” at UFC 155

junior gypsy is scheduled to fight his last UFC fight in 2012. On December 29th, in Las Vegas, the Brazilian will put his heavyweight belt on the line against Cain Velazquez in the main fight of UFC 155. Confident of defeating the North American for the second time, repeating the success of UFC on FOX 1, in December last year, Cigano hopes to face an even more prepared opponent.

“I hope to find the best of Cain Velazquez, as I expected the first time. I'm sure he'll want to come to this fight and make it longer, try his wrestling, which is very good, take him down, do the ground and pound. But I'll be prepared, I'm training a lot and I've already said: the fight is now. You never know what will happen. That one was quick, but if he messes up, it could be even faster this time,” said Cigano, during a press conference where he was introduced as an athlete for an energy drink brand.

Júnior, who recently signed a contract with Corinthians, also spoke about his preparation for the duel in São Paulo, leaving training in Salvador, Bahia.

“I'm doing the first part of my camp there in São Paulo, at Corinthians. For me, this support is very important, which is strong and I am sure will be lasting, making my career increasingly stronger and good for me. I'm feeling really good, there's a good team there with me: Professor Dórea, Iuri Carlton, Ramon Lemos, André Piccoli. I think that, especially those of us in fights, we know that the next fight is the most important of our careers and that's how I'm making this commitment for myself. I already fought Velasquez and the result was positive. This time, I'm working even harder, to come out with the victory again”, added Cigano.
