Aldo on fighting Edgar: “I’m moved by great challenges”

The Brazilian José Aldo will have his biggest challenge within the UFC at the beginning of 2013. The featherweight champion will defend his reign against Frankie Edgar, former lightweight division champion, at UFC 156, an event that takes place on February 2, in Las Vegas, in the United States. But the fight against a former Ultimate champion doesn't scare Aldo, who guarantees he is driven by challenges.

“I'm fine, 100%, focused, wanting a lot, I really want to. I haven't fought in a while. I am driven by great challenges. O Frankie Edgar He's a really tough guy, so I'm really excited. I found it a very big challenge in my career. I'm in a thousand. I’ll go,” said Aldo.

The fight between José Aldo e Frankie Edgar was supposed to be the main attraction of UFC Rio 3, an event that took place on the 13th, but the Brazilian suffered a foot injury from a motorcycle fall and the duel had to be postponed.

“I'm very excited. I've wanted to do this fight for a long time, so I was very sad not to do it in Brazil, in Rio de Janeiro, but now the injury is behind me”, he added.
