“Not even he believed he came out unscathed, but revenge will come. I'm anxiously awaiting it. I don't know exactly when, but it will happen. I have to retrace my steps now. Have some wins. One, two, I don't know. And fight him again”, said the Brazilian.

The confrontation against Adesanya marked the biggest challenge in the Minas Gerais career so far. However, after more than a year of provocations between the two, Borrachinha was unable to impose his strategy and was yet another victim of his rival's technique.

“This fight was very atypical, a lot of things happened that affected the performance, but without regret. The important thing is that we are focused, as a team, and the result will appear”, he said.

Focused, the athlete, who is known for his intensity in training, can't wait to share the octagon with Israel again. The setback for the Nigerian, in addition to representing a chance to claim the title, was the first defeat in the Brazilian's career, who had been undefeated for 13 appearances.

“I have blood in my eyes, anger, hatred. But it's an anger that motivates me. Anger motivates me, revolt. The rebellious will always achieve more, and I am in that revolt. You can be sure that the return will be triumphant, I am more focused than ever”, he concluded.

After the defeat, Borrachinha needed less than a week to return to training. The athlete, however, still does not have a date for his new performance.
