The night didn't start off well for the Brazilians UFC Fight Island 5, held this Saturday (10), in Abu Dhabi. Preliminary card representatives, Rodrigo 'Zé Hiveto Bruno Bulldoguinho they did badly and ended up losing in their fights against Chris Daukas and Tagir Ulanbeko, respectively.

Representative of heavyweights (up to 120,2kg.), 'Zé Hive' enforced the maxim that, in the category, a single blow can lead to a definitive confrontation. The Minas Gerais native, who entered the octagon undefeated, ended up suffering a harsh defeat.

Rodrigo didn't even have time to put his strategy into practice. Chris needed less than a minute to dominate the miner and seal the duel with a devastating knockout, after a precise combination of punches. Now, 'Zé Hive' has one setback in nine fights.

Making his third fight with the Ultimate gloves, Bruno Bulldoguinho tried, but couldn't overcome the Tagir Ulanbekov. The flyweight (up to 56,7kg) showed a lot of spirit, however, he was unable to offset the difference in size, falling victim to his opponent's counterattacks.

After three rounds, the São Paulo native ended up defeated by unanimous decision from the judges. With the result, Bruno ends up getting into trouble in the organization, with three performances and no victories.

Ulanbekov, who was making his debut with the company, made his debut on the right foot. The athlete has now scored his fourth consecutive victory.

Joaquin Buckley beats Impa Kasanganay with historic knockout

In a fight between middleweights (up to 83,9 kg.), Joaquin Buclkey and Impa Kasanganay, the public was excited by a lively confrontation. However, what few imagined was that the duel would end in a historic way. In the second round, Buckley asserted his reputation as a knockout artist and scored a spectacular knockout over Kasanganay, taking away his rival's unbeaten record.

At the time of the action, Joaquin took advantage of a distraction from his opponent, who threw a kick, had his leg held and was surprised with a spinning kick straight to the chin, which led to an immediate knockout.

With the victory, Kevin recovers from the setback in his last commitment. Kasanganay lost the first, in two appearances for Ultimate.

Chikadze wins technical fight and takes away Morales' unbeaten record

In one of the most anticipated fights on the preliminary card, Giga Chikadze didn't give chances Omar Morales and took away the Venezuelan's unbeaten record in a match decided on points. After three rounds, the Georgian was declared the winner with a dominant performance.

The duel between Chikadze and Omar, held in the featherweight category (up to 65,7kg), both sought to maintain their recent record within the UFC. Now, Giga remains unbeaten in four appearances. The Georgian currently has 11 wins in 13 MMA commitments.

With the setback, Moraels, in addition to suffering his first setback in Ultimate, also lost his unbeaten record in his career. Before the UFC Fight Island 5, the Venezuelan had 10 consecutive victories in the sport.
