The year 2020 has marked the return of several athletes who were retired. Conor McGregor, Anthony Johnson, Luke Rockhold, Nick Diaz, among others, announced their return and Dan Hardy is another one who could join the group. The former fighter, who currently works as a UFC commentator, has always flirted with the possibility of stepping into the Octagon once again, and would like to fulfill his wish against an old acquaintance.

At the pre-UFC Fight Island 5, the Englishman, again, cited Carlos Condit as the fight of his dreams, as he was knocked out by his opponent in his own country, in 2010.

“Yes, I would definitely accept it. That was the only time I got knocked out, and since I'm a changer, it was pretty embarrassing. I laughed about it at the time, but when I look back I think I was stupid,” Hardy said.

Despite his desire for revenge, Hardy did not take the defeat personally. So much so that he praised his rival, who returned to fight after two years away and won, after losing five consecutive fights.

“Condit was great and that’s what everyone wanted to see from him. I truly believe that he and Nick Diaz They can still have good fights against athletes like Masvidal. Condit is a lethal individual. He is a born killer, a great striker and has a different style. He's in good shape mentally and physically and can still have good fights. Who wouldn't want revenge on the only fighter who knocked him out? Of course I want to!”, he concluded.

It is worth remembering that, when they faced each other, the atmosphere between Dan Hardy and Carlos Condit it was heavy. The Englishman provoked the North American before the fight, both had a tense confrontation and, in the octagon, the second got the better of him by knockout in the first round.
