junior gypsy will put the heavyweight belt on the line at UFC 155, December 29th, against Cain Velazquez. The duel will be a rematch since the Brazilian took the belt from the North American at UFC on FOX 1, in December 2011.
Before the fight, Velasquez, who was knocked out just 64 seconds into the fight, stated that he expects a longer fight, where he can use his takedown game against Cigano. However, the current champion does not hide his desire for the duel to be even faster than the first.
“This time, like Cain himself who wants a fight to be longer, the fight at least happens. He is an excellent wrestler and I believe he will want to take it to the ground. He's going to try to do to me what he did to Pezão (at UFC 146). But I’m not afraid at all, I’ll be 100% to defend the belt”, said Cigano, who then added:
“A fight is a fight, we never know how it will go, maybe this one will be faster than that one”, said the Brazilian, in an interview with the “Mundo da Luta” program, on Beat 98 radio.
