“I honestly believe I deserve more respect. I'm 36 years old and, in addition to fighting, I work as a police officer. I'm getting older and it's not easy. I have a good career, I made history at times and I don't get the respect I deserve. I know that if you're an idiot, you make it big in the UFC. I don't want to be an idiot but true to my principles. For everything I’ve done, I deserve a little more respect,” said De Randamie.

Despite being number one in the bantamweight rankings (61,2kg), 'The Iron Lady', who has already fought for the belt in the category, surprised by revealing that her goal is not a rematch against the champion, Amanda nunes, and treats it as a consequence.
