Starting in 2016, the bad phase of Carlos Condit, which seemed to have no end, gained a final point in the UFC Fight Island 4 and the change is already seen in his posture. At the event held on Saturday (03), in Abu Dhabi, the former interim welterweight champion (77,6kg), who had not performed since 2018, overcame the veteran Court mcgee and the good performance made him think about his next steps, citing possible opponents.

In the post-show press conference, 'The Natural Born Killer' was relieved to be out of retirement and, more than that, excited about his future in MMA. At 36 years old, Condit assured that he regained his love for fights and expressed the desire to face Nick Diaz and Matt Brown, two names well known to fans.

“When competing at the highest level, for so long, you have wins and losses. I'm still in the game, with fire in my eyes and burning inside! It had been a long time since I fought and won. It's an incredible feeling! Win or lose, I love fighting! I'm a competitor. I accept facing anyone. There are still some interesting fights for me. Nick Diaz and Matt Brown are options. Me and Brown could have fought a few times. We'll see what happens. Just wrap it up so you don't get hurt. We have to do this!” said Condit.

Condit also analyzed the triumph over McGee, which ended a streak of five consecutive defeats, and praised his opponent, with whom he posed for a photo after the event.

“I felt good. Despite the defeats, I continued to work hard and everything turned out well. I felt more relaxed and wanted to be in the Octagon. For some reason, McGee didn't attack me. He has good wrestling and likes to fight on the fence. I think my posture confused him and I increased my pace. I didn't think I would knock him out. He fixed his own nose. How wild! McGee is a gangster!” he praised.

please note that Carlos Condit became interim UFC welterweight champion after winning, precisely, Nick Diaz, in 2012. At the time, the result was widely discussed and still generates controversy today.

Despite never having faced Matt Brown, Condit has a history with him. As the athletes have similar styles, the organization scheduled the fight in 2013 and 2018, but the former was injured on both occasions.
