Video: Defeated by Adesanya, Borrachinha sends a message to fans: 'We made a mistake in our strategy'

No bad weather. Defeated by Israel adesanya in the dispute for the middleweight belt (up to 83,9kg.), held last Saturday (26), by UFC 254, on 'Fight Island', in Abu Dhabi, Paulo borrachinha he used social media to thank his fans for their support after the negative result. In a video, the Brazilian spoke about the setback and is already planning a return to the Octagon to get back on track to winning ways.

Excited about his future in the UFC, Israel Adesanya lists possible opponents: 'I still have a lot to do'

“I'm here to tell you that I'm fine mentally – which is more important – and physically. It wasn't the day. Some things happened, I'm not going to make any excuses. (…) I came to say that I am stronger, we are more motivated and with more desire than ever”, said the Brazilian.

Dominated by Adesanya for two rounds, the Minas Gerais native guaranteed that his dream of winning the division title remains unshaken. Confident, the fighter confirms that he will be back soon to continue his plan to hold a UFC belt.

“The belt project was postponed, but only postponed. We remain strong, focused. We all made mistakes together as a team and we will get it right together. We already know what we did wrong. We also made mistakes in strategy, that's true. We will change and, of course, we will conquer. Thank you to all of you, good people, who support this. Those against it, I'm just sorry, because we're going to get there”, he concluded.

Considered one of the great names of the new generation of midfielders, Borrachinha suffered the first defeat of his career this weekend. Before stepping into the octagon, the Minas Gerais native had a perfect record of 13 wins, which took him to challenger status.
