Who found it strange friendly meeting between Paulo Borrachinha and Israel Adesanya at the hotel, in Abu Dhabi, will probably be satisfied with the first official face-off between the athletes. In front of the sea, the Brazilian and the middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg) came face to face, under the eyes of Dana White, promoting the dispute that will take place this Saturday (26), for the UFC 253.

For about a year, Borrachinha and Adesanya exchanged barbs on social media and in the press. Considered two of the main names in the category's recent history, the fighters managed to create a rivalry that motivated fans to eagerly await the confrontation.
Undefeated in 19 appearances as a professional in MMA, Adesanya won the title in October last year, when he beat the former champion, Robert whittaker by knockout. In March, the Nigerian made his first title defense, in the controversial clash against Yoel romero, criticized for the lack of combativeness among the athletes.
Borrachinha became a challenger after beating Romero himself in August last year. The Brazilian, however, ended up getting injured and subsequently ended up giving way to the Cuban in the clash against Israel.
In addition to the chance to bring another belt to Brazil, the Minas Gerais native will put his unbeaten career record on the line. Paulo, today, has 13 appearances and has never tasted defeat.
