Although Conor McGregor Although he is virtually retired, UFC president Dana White continues to bet on the Irishman's return next year. In an interview with 'Sports Center', the 'big boss' admitted holding talks with the former featherweight (up to 65,7kg) and lightweight (up to 70,3kg) champion and intends to count on the 'Notório' in 2021.

“We’re working on some fun stuff for Conor for early next year,” White said.
Although he does not deny that he is in talks with the Irishman, Dana is cautious about considering the fighter's return. In June, via social media, McGregor announced his retirement from MMA.
“He should be back next year. I’m not guaranteeing that he’ll come back to fight, but we’re talking right now,” he concluded.
After spending 2019 away from the Octagon, Conor made his return to Ultimate in January of this year. On that occasion, the 'Notório' returned in style, running over Donald Cerrone with a devastating knockout in less than a minute.
At the end of last year, the Irishman admitted that 2020 would be a busy season. The athlete even suggested that he could perform three times. After beating 'Cowboy', however, the promise did not materialize.
