The rivalry between UFC and Bellator has gained another chapter. After Michael chandler, one of the icons of Scott Coker's organization, signed with Dana White's company, Patrício Freire, one of his great rivals, didn't miss the chance to position himself.
On his Twitter, the featherweight (65,8kg) and lightweight (70,3kg) champion recalled Dana saying that Bellator athletes are not as valuable to the UFC and, at the same time, he had to offer a fight for belt to sign Chandler, right on his debut.

“So, Bellator fighters are not good, but a former champion, who I beat, was signed by the UFC and is the immediate reserve for a fight worth the belt? Interesting”, posted Patrício.
When attacked on social media, the Brazilian defended himself, stating that he and his brother, Patricky, are capable of standing out in the UFC and that there are great values in other MMA organizations.
"Some things never change. People don't understand the meaning of a tweet and say nonsense that they don't have the courage to say in front of me. Many people confuse me with my brother and try to get to me, attacking him and saying that we will never beat UFC athletes. The fighter has to follow the path that makes him happiest. He doesn't criticize anyone's choice. I'm just presenting another proof that there is value outside of the UFC, even though many disagree. If there are still people who don’t believe in this, I can design for them”, he concluded.
So @BellatorMMA fighters aren't good, but a former champion whom I beat gets signed by the @UFC and is an immediate backup for a title fight. Interesting.

Some things never change: people not understanding the meaning of a tweet, people tweeting shit they'd never have the guts to say to my face, people confusing me for my brother and/or trying to attack me through him, and people saying we 'd never beat top UFC fighters. pic.twitter.com/UB3wKGronx

Every fighter should follow the path they're happy with. I'm not criticizing anyone's choices. I'm just pointing out another proof that there's value outside the UFC even though many people only talk shit about it. If there're people who still don't get it, I can draw for you.

The rivalry between Patrício Freire and Michael chandler it has existed since 2016, when the North American knocked out Patricky in the first round. At the time, the younger brother swore to Chandler, promised to avenge the family and achieved it in 2019, by knocking him out in just one minute, in the fight that brought together two of the biggest names in Bellator history. Since then, Pitbull has remained the organization's double champion, as he holds the featherweight (65,8kg) and lightweight (70,3kg) belts.
