The fight between the Brazilian Thiago tavares and Dennis Hallman will not take place at UFC on FX 5, an event that takes place tonight (05), in the United States. The North American was unable to reach the limit of 70 kg, remaining 3,2 kg. overweight and the fight ended up being cancelled.
After receiving the news from Dana White, president of the UFC, Thiago used his Twitter account to inform his fans and regret what happened.
“Guys, I’m not going to fight. Dana White just told me that my opponent is very overweight and there will be no fight. Forgive me, everyone who was eagerly waiting for my fight. I'm sad and frustrated. My opponent is 7 lbs (3,2 kg) heavier and the fight has been cancelled”, wrote Thiago on the microblog.
