Happy ending. One of Bellator's biggest icons of recent years, Michael chandler 'jumped over the wall' and will now put on UFC gloves. The athlete arrives at the organization to move into the lightweight division (up to 70,3kg), and must appear as an immediate reserve for Khabib Nurmagomedov ou Justin gaethje, UFC 254, on October 24th. The information was released by Dana White, on 'Sports Center'.

Since having the last fight of his Bellator contract in August, Chandler has been free to negotiate with any other MMA organization in the world. The athlete flirted with ONE FC, PFL, but, apparently, the UFC ended up being more incisive in confirming the fighter's decision.
With the status of a former Bellator champion, Chandler arrives in Ultimate with an important role for one of the main cards of the year. The lightweight will be the immediate reserve of Khabib Nurmagomedov e Justin gaethje who will exchange forces in the confrontation for the unification of the belt. If there is an incident, then Michael could, in his first fight, challenge for the Ultimate title.
Currently, Michael, 34 years old, has 26 appearances as a professional in MMA, with 21 triumphs and six setbacks.
UFC signs Michael chandler, by Dana White on @SportsCenter. He will be the backup for Khabib vs. Gaethje in October. Huge news. And happy for Chandler. He was always grateful and happy at Bellator, but he's wanted to face UFC lightweights for a long time.
